+ + The Colour of Hope Charity for youth at risk in Peru + +

The Colour of Hope is a registered UK Charity working to reduce poverty, advance education and promote employment amongst disadvantaged youth in Peru.

Our youth development program provides support for vulnerable young people leaving children's homes in Lima, Peru’s capital city. It helps them to become part of their community and to find dignified work; it gives them a chance for change.

A total of sixteen young people from six different  care homes across Lima have taken part in the program since February 2008, achieving the following results:

• The 16 young people have integrated successfully back into society

• 3 are taking courses in vocational skills

• 9 have now found work

• 3 have set up profitable small businesses thanks to The Colour of Hope's microenterprise grants
