Margaret Stevens (Chair)

Margaret took an honours degree in English Literature and became involved with special needs education, later qualifying as a therapist. She has ample fundraising experience, running 'Aid to Poles in Need' during the time of martial law, and is now applying these skills and experience to her work with The Colour of Hope. Since August 2007 she has raised over £2000 for the charity, thanks to the support of the City Steam Jazz Band, celebrity chef, Michael Caines, and his ABode Royal Clarence Hotel in Exeter, Devon.

Mary Batten-Stevens (Treasurer)

Mary graduated in psychology and later qualified as a carer, working with mentally and physically challenged young people. Her experience and knowledge of this field allows her to make an invaluable input to The Colour of Hope's work.

Georgia Platman

Georgia graduated in Spanish and Latin American Studies and is currently taking a second degree in Adult Nursing at Plymouth University. In 2004, she spent eight months volunteering at AIDENICA, a care home for children and teenagers in Lima, Peru, and now plays a key role in The Colour of Hope, running local fundraising activities and spreading the news about the charity.

David Martin

David studied mathematics at the University of Cambridge and went on to qualify as a solicitor. His expertise in legal affairs is of great help to The Colour of Hope.

Amy New (Director)

Amy graduated from the University of Cambridge and has been dedicated to her work with street children and young people in Lima for the last eight years. She has volunteered with a variety of care homes and development projects, such as the British Council’s “Dance of Hope”, as well carrying out street work on an individual basis. Amy was nominated The Colour of Hope’s Director by the trustees in August 2007.
