Donate to Young People in Peru PDF Print E-mail

Your pound or dollar goes a long way in Peru!
Donations from the general public and money collected at charity fundraising events are The Colour of Hope's two main sources of income. We're extremely grateful for all donations, however large or small. In Peru, the equivalent of £1 (approximately $2) will buy any of the following:

  • 30 bread rolls
  • 6 city-centre bus rides
  • 2 lunches in a budget restaurant
  • 1 T-shirt
  • 2 cinema tickets

What will my donation be spent on?

Your money will go exactly where it’s needed. The Colour of Hope is a small charity and all our trustees and fundraisers are volunteers, keeping overhead costs to the bare minimum. A young mother receives parenting adviceDonations go towards providing the following types of benefits for the young people we work with:

  • Counseling services
  • Medical treatment and healthcare
  • Vocational training
  • Furniture for young people housing, including beds, cupboards and cooking equipment
  • Equipment for training sessions, such as card, paper, pens, pencils and folders

Donations channelled through our youth sponsorship program have brought lasting change to many of our young people's lives. Read about some sponsorship success stories here.
